The revolutionary Shutgun shuts off fire sprinklers fast! Water damage from a fire sprinkler activation can cause catastrophic damage. Shutgun is an industry crafted solution helping you take control of water emergencies and prevent unnecessary, costly damage. Developed by a Toronto District Fire Chief of 35 years, the Shutgun was inspired through a real need, commonly seen by emergency response teams.

From factory safety to building maintenance and apartment structures, this pocket sized tool is a must have in water protection. The Shutgun works to shut off all types of sprinkler heads, including the newer recessed style now popular in commercial complexes.

Prior to Technicraft’s revolutionary device, fire fighters and repair crews were forced to rely on a primitive wedge. The drawbacks were numerous and left both property and people in potential danger. The Shutgun sought to address these problems and answered with the following:

Single handed operation guards users in awkward situations. Emergency sprinkler systems are normally located in the ceiling and require the use of a ladder to reach. When it’s time to turn the water off, Shutgun is the only tool that will allow you a free hand to stabilize yourself while using.

The fusible link puts Shutgun in a league of its own. As our Fire Chief knows there is always the possibility of a fire reigniting. This is where Shutgun really sets itself apart. The fusible link will melt and release the tool should a fire re-kindle. This is especially ingenious as the building’s fire sprinkler system remains in operation and the building remains protected.
A tool truly smart enough to act on its own, the Shutgun is made from durable cast aluminum and fits handily in your pocket.Simple to use, Shutgun belongs on every floor. Water emergencies don’t just happen because of fire, but they can cause an equal amount of catastrophic damage.

A tenant’s child throws a baseball down the hall. A chair bumps a sprinkler head during an office move. A factory machine overheats and lets off hot steam. A college dorm has a party and a decoration was ill-hung at a shopping mall. All these events may cause thousands of dollars in damage from accidental sprinkler activation without a Shutgun in hand.  Doing our part to help the environment, all material is 100% recyclable.

Technicraft’s Shutgun is the name brand in water protection. Next time there’s an emergency, don’t be caught unprepared and empty handed. It’s too easy to keep insurance on site and too hard to replace precious valuables in the wake of an accident. We make sure you’re covered for the unexpected.

Yellow (Pages) Media Continues to Dive

We always believed that Google would win the war in the online local directory market.  Yellow Media, parent company of Yellow Pages and CanPages, is continuing to pay the price of sticking to print in a digital world.  Their online performance is dismal.

Their stock is at an all-time low of 86 cents and falling fast.  They have been moved from a hold to a sell position.  Be careful what you buy in print directories and ask who owns the company before writing a cheque or giving your credit card.  Truthfully, any money spent on traditional print directories or antiquated online directories is a waste of money.
